Hillary Clinton is annoying the crap out of me
And I do not appear to be the only one.
For the love of all that is holy, woman, quit already. Also, Pennsylvania voters who “knew” Obama would win the nomination but decided to vote for Hillary anyway… why? Why? To prolong the process? To provide another eight weeks of back and forth bickering? To leave a finely-picked over carcass for John McCain?
I simply do not understand people.

I’m guessing those that voted for Hillary even if they think Obama will win eventually really support Hillary and probably just couldn’t bring themselves to vote against their true choice. But, that’s just conjecture on my part.

I’m completely baffled too - moreso by “Hill-Rod” than by the PA voters - does she honestly think it would be acceptable to snatch the nomination from the candidate who has more delegates and more of the popular vote, even if she can successfully make the “electability” argument? How would that be any different from the Bush/Gore fiasco, which she acknowledges was really Gore’s win? And if she’s so keen on everyone’s vote counting (i.e. when she inexplicably and inexcusably tries to argue for the seating of the Fla and MI delegates) then why does she think it’s okay to discount the votes of every other states but the ones that she won and considers “vital” for the party to carry come November? I have so, so many questions.

From my perspective, loyalty to Hillary or Obama is not worth the possibility of handing the White House to McCain, especially not in a year when the Democrats should be able to waltz away with a victory. Hillary cannot win this nomination without superdelegates, and the superdelegates have said they won’t overturn the delegate vote, so she’s done. Voting for her at this point is just prolonging the process and making it easier for McCain to win in November, and I particularly don’t understand that mentality from people who typically form the Democratic base (and who, you would think, would want nothing less than another four years with a Republican in office).

So if Hillary gets the ticket you will vote for her? I typically vote Democrat but I have voted Republican as well. Truthfully I’m not sure if I will vote for Hillary if she gets the ticket just because she’s a democrat. Put it this way, fours years ago I said to myself “Wow, It would be great if McCain was the Republican nominee” because I liked him and I thought he had a good attitude on foreign policy and I liked his anti-torture stance. I also thought “I hope Hillary runs” because she seemed enthusiastic and I liked her attitude. Now, I feel negativity towards both. I’m not happy with how either are pressing forward (both McCain and Hillary) but I liked them both the same in the past and now dislike both the same now. For me it becomes a matter of who is the best of the worst and for me, Hillary does not easily seal the deal just b/c she is a Democrat. I think that I will need to do more research into what McCain’s policies etc are before I would make that decision.

I read Tomato Nation’s article and I think he said what I wanted to say well: If Clinton gets the nomination, which I really doubt, I would most likely vote for her — but I would give McCain some serious thought provided he softened his stance on Iraq and some other issues in the interim between the conventions and the general election.

I wish I could find the video that was on the Daily Show I saw yesterday.
In the first clip (frin way back in the beginning of the primaries), Clinton is saying she has confidence in the voters and the voters will decide.
Then they show a more recent clip of her saying that super delegates are important because they are more experienced and truly know the candidates. She says “Voters come to us from afar - they’re PART of the process.”
Way to change your mind when it suits you, Hilary.

Hahah - i saw and loved that Daily Show clip too
I agree with Aisha - I don’t see myself blindly voting Democrat, which is crazy, because for the past 7 years I’ve thought that I would never even consider voting Republican again. And if it’s Hillary vs. McCain, I’ll be listening to the debates before deciding. Hillary’s just been so dishonorable on so many levels, and I’m sick of arrogant and secretive administrations, which is how I can see hers being.

To people who are considering voting for McCain if Hillary were to by some freak of nature win the nomination, here’s a reason you shouldn’t:
