I am so excited to have my fridge back I just want to hug it

Obviously, it doesn’t take much to make me happy.

  1. Your tastespotting is killing me again. I see some sort of M&M cookie sandwich with what appears to be Nutella in the middle. That is pure evil.

As for your fridge, glad you have it back. It’s surprising how much we rely on an appliance or something else we take for granted until we are no longer able to use it.

Last time the electricity went out for a few hours and I can’t tell you how many times I stupidly kept trying to turn on light switches and such.

Oh – and by the way, if you have a moment, I see I’m in your blogroll (thanks!) – you’ve got my old URL though. As you know, I’m at http://empty-boxes.com now. (And I have you on my blogroll there, too.)

    Best wishes!

  2. You should do food blog-like entries, and post photos of what you make, since you’re quite the chef! I’m going to start doing that, but I have a feeling that my pics of spaghetti with Newman’s sauce won’t make Tastespotting!

  3. I would like to be your official taster when you do that cheffing!

  4. Tee, the timing on the freezer dying was just horrendous — my brother was recovering from reconstructive surgery on his ACL, and we needed a steady supply of ice. He was a little cranky the night I realized there wouldn’t be any for a while. ;-) I’d go out in the mornings and buy a bag, but by evening it’d be water, so I had to do it all over again the next day.

Sadia, that’s very sweet, but I’m not good enough (at food or photography) to do a food blog!

Auntie, you will need to swing by my parents’ this weekend; we’ll all be in town, iA (Mansoor is here for the week from Dubai), and of course I want to hear about your umrah trip, plus I think we’re going to make some strawberry ice cream (or maybe another kind or two as well).

  5. Please, if I can start posting pics I take with my camera phone of the macaroni & cheese I just made, you can certainly do better :)
