Hungry planet
I don’t know how I missed this when it first came out: What the World Eats.
The whole set of photos is so interesting, particularly when you look not at how much people in certain countries eat (because there’s very little surprise there) but rather at what they eat. I’m shocked that the California family wouldn’t take advantage of all the awesome produce so readily available in their state.
It’s entirely possible that by myself, during Ramadan, I eat more than that entire African family.
Woohoo!
Mets left speechless after collapse.
The Phillies are the NL East division champions, courtesy of a historic meltdown in New York.
I even feel a little sorry for Tom Glavine, that he only lasted 1/3 of an inning, that he got booed off the field (really, Mets fans? shut up), and that those things happened in what may have been his last game ever. But. I’m only a little sorry for him since he did sign on with the enemy.
I’ll be rooting for the Cubs to win it all… but I won’t really be holding my breath.
