Y’all, I’m not a painter
Stuart, master home remodeller, has pointed out the error of my ways. Apparently, Ralph Lauren paint is a good paint, not a runny paint. Apparently, I am supposed to let the primer dry for at least 8 hours rather than the 30 minutes it takes me and AM to eat ice cream and wash up after ourselves. Apparently, if I do that, I will only have to apply one layer of top coat. Apparently, I am a bad, bad painter-wannabe.
Okay, so Stuart was really much nicer than that, even when filtered through the Dan medium. And after doing some Googling, I’ve discovered I am not the only one who has had issues with Ralph Lauren paint. I don’t know how much the rollers make a difference, as we used the standard Home Depot kind, but then again, we didn’t do textured paint. I am planning on texture for the next room, so I suppose I should do a little research before diving in this time, especially since the next room has more stuff to work around.
(And no, I didn’t pick the paint because it was Ralph Lauren. I picked it because they had the exact colors I wanted.)
