apropos of anything

Until today I did not think developers existed who were not familiar with Slashdot.

Then I had a conversation with some of our developers, who shrugged off their ignorance with the excuse that Slashdot is a “Unix thing.”

I don’t think I’ve been this shocked since certain people told me they didn’t know who Dominique Wilkins was.
